And that is what internet media is about: direct, person-to-person communication. In the person-to-person marketplace the internet enables, you to do business with and converse with those you trust. The 9/11 Commission Report didn’t include any information about the President’s brother,  Marvin Bush either. Marvin Bush [...]]]> Sudden Building Collapse Syndrome (SBCS) is not well understood. Perhaps that is why the 9/11 Commission Report made no mention of the sudden collapse of World Trade Center Building 7 late in the day on September 11, 2001.

The 9/11 Commission Report didn’t include any information about the President’s brother,  Marvin Bush either. Marvin Bush was a principal owner of the security firm, Securecom, aka Statesec, the company that held the contract to provide security for the World Trade Center, United Airlines and Dulles International Airport on Sept 11th, 2001.

But with the new popularity of online video the public is beginning to discover video tape evidence showing that the collapse of Building 7 occurs at free fall speed identical to what happens in a controlled demolition.

In a controlled demolition explosive charges are used to liquify weight bearing joints causing the walls to collapse directly into a building’s footprint with no resistance at free fall speed.

Which may explain why traditional media outlets have never allowed the public to see video clips of Building 7 as it collapsed.  No airplane hit building 7 yet it collapses at free fall speed as did the twin towers earlier that same day.

But the work required to wire a 47 story building for a controlled demolition would have had to begin some time before Sept 11, 2001 and that points to Marvin Bush’s security company.  Was Marvin Bush  sleeping on the job or very much awake?

Or did Building 7 commit suicide in an act of solidarity with the other two buildings?

Gillmor and Slusher produce two of the best podcasts available online but  to snare  and maintain  sponsors  [...]]]> In this 5 minute video blog the BetterBadNews panel examine how podcast sponsors EarthLink (the Gillmor Gang) and GoDaddy (Evil Genius Chronicles) benefit from negative buzz by being included in an absurd conversation about advertising in the blogosphere.

Gillmor and Slusher produce two of the best podcasts available online but  to snare  and maintain  sponsors  both shows are forced to  jump  through hoops painful enough  to make an immature  medium cry.

To complicate the situation Slusher recently  attacked Gillmor for allowing  an audio ad on the Gillmor Gang  podcast  that  was  so  boring it made  his testicles shrink.

Slusher said  that he’d rather hear Gillmor  talk  about EarthLink for 30 seconds than waste time listening to a radio commercial about an internet  company that  invokes  vague notions of fear to lure consumers.

But user generated ads like the improvised  rants  Slusher produced for his former  sponsor, GoDaddy, are  controversial also.  GoDaddy’s founder Bob Parsons once vigorously defended the interrogation techniques (torture) practiced at a US run concentration  camp in Guantanamo, Cuba.

Parsons retracted his support for aggresive interrogation practices but
will he  cooperate  with the Government if asked to turn over the personal user data GoDaddy has on its customers?

Slusher speaks proactively for his sponsors in  his own voice.  Gillmor, on the other hand,  lets his  sponsors produce the ads. Both approaches can be  equally bad.

Eventually, podcasters will have to  find a better way to produce their shows or the best we are likely to get  are better bad ads.

The panel was also stunned by an astonishingly effective speech delivered by Al Gore laying out a case for impeachment. Gore called on Republicans and Democrats to pull themselves away from their TV screens and take notice of the incremental dissolution of representative government.

A liberal “political analyst” on PBS’s News Hour said that he couldn’t explain why Gore’s speech wasn’t covered in the media.
